Bio: Dr. Ryan D. Egeland serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Solventum, formerly 3M Healthcare. Before joining Solventum, he was Chief Executive Officer of Crossfire Medical. He previously held leadership roles as Chief Medical Officer and Head of Strategic Ventures at Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. (CSI). Earlier in his career, Dr. Egeland led teams across Business Development & Licensing, Medical and Scientific Affairs, and Product Marketing at Medtronic, Covidien, and ev3.

Dr. Egeland trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and earned his medical degree with honors from Harvard Medical School. He also holds a PhD in biochemistry and engineering from the University of Oxford, where he completed his MBA as a Rhodes Scholar.

Bio: Specialist in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Cardiac Imaging

Dr. Carlos Guerrero Chalela is an internist and cardiologist with subspecialty expertise in adult congenital heart disease and advanced cardiac imaging. He received his medical degree from Universidad del Norte (Barranquilla) and completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Universidad del Rosario (Bogotá). He pursued advanced fellowship training at McGill University (Canada), specializing in advanced echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, and adult congenital heart disease.

He currently practices at the Fundación Cardioinfantil – Instituto de Cardiología in Bogotá, one of the leading cardiovascular centers in Latin America, where he leads the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program and is a core member of the Advanced Cardiac Imaging Group. Dr. Guerrero also leads the medical strategy of the 3D+ Center, a center-based innovation hub focused on translating 3D printing, advanced visualization, and immersive technologies into routine clinical care, education, and complex procedural planning. Through these initiatives, Dr. Guerrero has played a key role in scaling point-of-care 3D+ technologies across Colombia, promoting cost-effective precision medicine and strengthening collaborative networks between clinicians, engineers, and academic institutions.

Dr. Guerrero is an active member of the Colombian Society of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) and collaborates with international interdisciplinary research teams. His work has contributed to peer-reviewed international publications and the development of innovative diagnostic, educational, and therapeutic strategies in cardiovascular medicine, with a particular focus on implementation in resource-limited settings.
